Trip to East Malaysia - Day 1 : KL --> Miri, Sarawak

 I went to Sabah  last week with a few uni mates and dar. Had been planning for this trip for the last few months. We bought the Air Asia tickets when they had promotions on January last year. The plane tickets (KL --> Sarawak --> Sabah --> KL) costs RM 120 ONLY!!!

On Monday, Meiyi, Christine and Charlee came over to KL for some shopping and stayed over at my house. Early morning the next day, Mum dropped us at TBS on her way to work.

From TBS, we took the KLIA Transit to Salak Tinggi Station, and got on the shuttle bus to LCCT.
From TBS to Salak Tinggi, the train took about 20 mins, and another 20 mins from Salak Tinggi to LCCT by bus. The whole trip costs RM 10.80 only.

This both tickets are to be bought together at the ticketing counter.

At LCCT, we met up with Carmen, CJM, Lup Yeng and Pin Pin who came straight from KL Sentral and also dar who came to LCCT by plane from Penang.

The trip from LCCT to Miri was about 2 hours. At Miri Airport, Doris and Carrie came to pick us up for lunch at Nine 2 Five.

After lunch, we went to Doris's place to place our luggage and went for a walk at Parkson. Then, we had Ice Kacang and Rojak at a stall nearby.

After that, we went to Beach Republic to watch the sunset~

The scenery there was amazing. Watching the sun set slowly, listening to the waves and the sky got darker as it stretches from one end to the other... Oddly peaceful...

After the beach, we went to a nearby park for a short canopy walk. 

When I looked up, there were lots of small stars shining above! It was very beautiful. Too bad I only had a digital camera, and couldn't snap the stars.

Later at night, we went for dinner at a local Chinese restaurant. Tried some local Chinese food which was kinda different from ours.

 We went up the hill at night for a drink and everyone came home with a red face except for me and dar. I was never a beer-lover, maybe wine would be okay for me, but definitely not beer. I just hated how it taste and I wondered why would people love it so much. It also makes u stink!!

At night, all the girls stayed over at Carrie's place and the boys at Doris's place.
