Trip to East Malaysia - Day 2 : Miri, Sarawak --> KK, Sabah

Early in the morning, we all got up, prepared ourselves and packed our luggage. After that, we went for breakfast at a local food stall.

Group photo~

Sarawak Laksa

Sarawak Kuey Chap
It has pork meat, egg, beancurd, pig stomach and some dough (like kuey teow, but bigger slices) with
star anise soup.
Quite nice, but it's not filling... XP

Sarawak Dry Noodles (Mee Kolok)
They have many different versions. Some noodles look like Maggi. This one i tried looks and taste like Pan Mee, just thinner.

After breakfast, we went to Watson to get sunblock. Doris said that we MUST get the 130 SPF one cos the sun is very strong at the islands. Then we went to a nearby shop to buy some local food to bring home.
At Sarawak, we just ate and ate and ate. We only had our breakfast for 2 hours, and after that, we had lunch again~

Kambing Rendang

One of the famous things in Sarawak is pepper. Before we boarded the plane, we had a little more time quickly headed to a supplier's house to buy some pepper.
I don't know the address, but all I know, is that he stayed in a huge house. In fact, all the houses in Sarawak are huge. Most houses are either bungalows or semi-Ds. There are even some that looked like the Mayor's houses that we see in movies!!

Our flight to KK was at 3pm. From Miri, it took only 40 mins to KK.

KKIA was next to the sea.. So nice MY GAWD!!!

Once we reached KK, an aunty with a huge van came to fetch all of us to our hotel. The hotel wasn't the 5-star type cos we all wanted to save and spend more on food and games. Only my room was bad. The others were happy with theirs. I didn't really like my room at first, but after staying there for a few days, I could bear with all of it.

At the hotel lobby waiting for DINNER~

At KK, our first meal was Korean food for dinner at Bintulu Korean Restaurant. It was kinda cheap actually. We split the bill and paid less than RM 25 each!!

Bintulu Korean Restaurant at Lintas Plaza, KK.

Us again~

The food was delicious. Actually, I've only tried Korean food once at Daorae. It was really tasty, but expensive  >.<
This was yummy and cheap!! Hope to go there again sometime....

After dinner, the went to the other end of the shop lot for desert --- Moo Cow!!

When we talk about frozen yogurt, the first place that comes to my mind is Tutti Frutti, but, there are lots of different flavors and everything is toooo sweet that it doesn't taste like yogurt anymore.

At Moo Cow, the frozen yogurt really taste like frozen yogurt and not some ice with lots of flavoring.

Original and PatPoh flavour.

Original yogurt with crushed Oreo.
I preferred the original cos I like the yogurt taste. It was slightly sour and refreshing.
A good desert after the heavy Korean dinner.

A cup of Original frozen yogurt cost RM 9.90 with free topping. Any additional topping costs RM 1 each.

With our super full tummy, we headed back to the hotel and prepared for the next day. Manukan Island!!!!!

XOXO,
Vivian
